New high-current relay for 12- and 24-volt vehicle electrical systems
Powerful relay for demanding applications
Relais from Bosch
Nowadays, the control of many electrical vehicle systems requires high currents. To meet this need, Bosch has developed the HCR 100 high-current relay, a power relay with a rated switching current of 100 amps.
The new high-current relay ensures reliable control of the latest electrical vehicle systems and components, which require higher switching currents. Previous power relays were designed to switch currents up to 75 amps.
Typical applications for more powerful high-current relays include the control of engine management, glow plugs, pre-heating systems, loading ramps, and start-stop systems as well as the heated vehicle windshield. The new relay can be used in many types of vehicles, including light and heavy trucks, agricultural machinery, buses, and campers, as well as in boats and stationary applications.

Durable and robust for use in a wide range of temperatures

The HCR 100 features minimal contact resistance and a continuous current limitation of 100 amperes at 85°C. This new relay is available in a 12- and a 24-volt version and covers existing applications worldwide.
With the portfolio being continuously expanded to meet market requirements, the new high-current relay will also be suitable for use in future applications. Bosch power relays are resistant to heat, moisture, and vibration, and they are dust-tight in accordance with the IP54 test standard.
They are durable and robust thanks to the use of high-quality materials, high corrosion protection, and careful workmanship. Designed for use in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, the relays have an electrical life of up to 100,000 switching cycles.
